Reno sits in the northwest corner of Parker County, bordered by Azle to the east. The 1990s construction boom produced a housing stock that is now 25 to 35 years old, and the water and sewer infrastructure built to serve that growth is aging at the same rate. Reno's citywide infrastructure renewal plan is active in 2025, with Stage 2 water restrictions in place — a signal that the aging mains are producing enough low-pressure and water quality complaints to warrant a city-level response. For homeowners, that means supply lines already under pressure fluctuation stress from the mains, and water heater sediment loads that run higher when municipal supply turbidity increases.
A significant portion of Reno's rural-residential population is still on private wells rather than municipal supply. Parker County limestone aquifer water carries elevated hardness and mineral load — pressure tank failures and pump wear happen on a predictable cycle, and the hard water shortens water heater anode rod life and scales fixture aerators measurably faster than treated supply. Properties near the Lake Bridgeport tributary bottomlands in the northwest portion of the city experience seasonal high-water-table conditions after wet seasons. Sump pump demand and foundation drainage calls peak after significant spring rainfall, when the bottomland soil becomes saturated and hydrostatic pressure increases against below-grade plumbing and foundation walls.
Reno City Hall is located at 195 W. Reno Road — the mailing address uses Azle, TX 76020, and ZIP code 76020 is shared with Azle. Permits for plumbing work in Reno's incorporated limits must be filed with the City of Reno, reachable at (817) 221-2500 — not the City of Azle and not Parker County. S.W.A.T. Plumbing dispatches from its Fort Worth hub to Reno in approximately 30 minutes, covering the Reno Road corridor, FM 730, and the northwest Parker County rural-residential tracts.

Known Threats
Common plumbing issues
in Reno.
Local soil, water chemistry, and housing stock create predictable failure patterns. Understanding what’s common here lets S.W.A.T. Plumbing arrive with the right equipment already loaded.
Common Issues — Reno
- Reno's active citywide infrastructure renewal plan flags aging mains producing low pressure and water quality problems across 76020 — supply at household fixtures is affected by main-level degradation.
- Rural-suburban properties on private wells experience pressure tank failures and pump wear from hard Parker County limestone aquifer water with elevated iron and hardness.
- Proximity to Lake Bridgeport tributaries creates seasonal high-water-table conditions — sump pump demand and foundation drainage calls peak after wet spring seasons on lower-elevation lots.
- Expansive Parker County clay causes buried pipe movement and joint separation as seasonal moisture cycles shrink and swell the soil around older supply and drain lines.
- 1990s housing stock built during Reno's near-100% population growth decade is now 25–35 years old — water heaters, supply valves, and drain lines are at or past typical replacement age.

“My A/C was leaking because of a backup in the main drain pipe. The tech Tyler was beyond communicative, patient, and tenacious to fix this. He stayed until almost 6p troubleshooting and sticking with the plan of action that freed the issue. Great guy and great service. As a bonus, I requested the soonest available service and when there was a cancellation that pulled my appointment forward by one day. One earlier day with A/C in Mya in Texas. Win! I was provided them through my home warranty service. I will definitely request them again. Tyler was the man!”
Marcus Combsa month ago“Daniel was great. He was Friendly, helpful, and informative. He took time to explain everything and walk me through my options. The SWAT team was great at keeping me informed on service time and expectations. Will 100% recommend.”
Achelle Evansa month ago“Over the weekend, I needed to call a plumber when the expansion tank on my water heater began leaking. I was unsure what might happen if the situation worsened, so I contacted my home warranty service to request assistance. I had previously informed them that if I ever needed plumbing services again, I preferred to work exclusively with S.W.A.T. Plumbing. On Monday morning, I received a call from Christi at S.W.A.T. Plumbing. She explained that although the plumber was finishing another job, she could have someone out later that afternoon. She told me that Scott H. would be handling the call and would contact me when he was on his way. About five minutes after our call ended, Christi called back to let me know that I would be Scott's next service stop. I really appreciated that level of communication. Less than forty five minutes later, Scott arrived at my home. Scott was professional from the moment he arrived. After a brief greeting, he immediately went to work. He confirmed my suspicion that the expansion tank was the problem, returned to his truck for tools and a replacement tank, and had the new tank installed within about twenty minutes. The repair was completed quickly, smoothly, and—most importantly—professionally. This was not my first experience with S.W.A.T. Plumbing, and it certainly will not be my last should the need arise again. This team truly knows how to take care of their customers. Thank you for inviting me to participate in this survey. I appreciate the opportunity to share my feedback. If you have any follow up questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me.”
