Service Brief

Whole-House
Repiping

When the failures stop being one at a time, patching becomes the more expensive option. S.W.A.T. Plumbing repipes the whole house — galvanized to PEX, polybutylene to copper — in days, not weeks, with restoration coordinated.

When You Need This

The longer you wait,
the worse it gets.

Whole-house repipes solve the problem one pinhole leak at a time can't. Galvanized supply lines corrode internally and fail at random points after 50+ years. Polybutylene (1978–1995) reacts to chlorine and fails catastrophically. Older copper systems with aggressive water chemistry pinhole repeatedly. S.W.A.T. Plumbing pulls the permit, plans the access points to minimize drywall impact, replaces every supply run with code-grade PEX or copper, and coordinates drywall and paint restoration.

Warning Signs

  • Repeat pinhole leaks in copper across multiple locations
  • Galvanized supply lines (homes built before 1970)
  • Polybutylene (PB) lines identified in walls or attic
  • Discolored, rusty, or metallic-tasting water from multiple fixtures
  • Low pressure at every fixture (system-wide flow restriction)
  • Banging or hammering throughout the house when water turns on/off
  • Multiple plumbing repairs in the last 2–3 years
  • Insurance carrier flagging the home as a re-pipe candidate

Mission Operations

How we execute
from call to close.

  1. 01.

    Survey

Walk the System. Plan the Access.

We walk the entire house, map every existing supply run, identify access points (closets, cabinets, attic, garage), and plan the drywall cuts that will minimize visible impact. The estimate names every fixture, every run, and every wall opening before approval.

  2. 02.

    Permit + Prep

    Permitted. Material On-Site.

We pull the city permit, schedule the inspection, and pre-stage all the PEX or copper, manifold, fittings, valves, and shut-offs. Furniture, flooring, and finished surfaces in the work zones are covered before any tools come out.

  3. 03.

    Repipe

Run It Clean. Pressure-Test Each Stage.

We pull the old supply lines and run new PEX or copper through the same chases and attic paths. Manifold-based PEX systems get a central distribution point with individual fixture shut-offs. Every branch is pressure-tested as it's tied in.

  4. 04.

    Inspect + Restore

    City Sign-Off. Drywall Coordinated.

City inspector signs the permit. Drywall and paint restoration crews handle the wall cuts (coordinated by us as part of the package or scheduled separately). You receive a closed permit, written material spec, and a system diagram showing every line and shut-off.

  • My A/C was leaking because of a backup in the main drain pipe. The tech Tyler was beyond communicative, patient, and tenacious to fix this. He stayed until almost 6p troubleshooting and sticking with the plan of action that freed the issue. Great guy and great service. As a bonus, I requested the soonest available service and when there was a cancellation that pulled my appointment forward by one day. One earlier day with A/C in Mya in Texas. Win! I was provided them through my home warranty service. I will definitely request them again. Tyler was the man!

  • Over the weekend, I needed to call a plumber when the expansion tank on my water heater began leaking. I was unsure what might happen if the situation worsened, so I contacted my home warranty service to request assistance. I had previously informed them that if I ever needed plumbing services again, I preferred to work exclusively with S.W.A.T. Plumbing. On Monday morning, I received a call from Christi at S.W.A.T. Plumbing. She explained that although the plumber was finishing another job, she could have someone out later that afternoon. She told me that Scott H. would be handling the call and would contact me when he was on his way. About five minutes after our call ended, Christi called back to let me know that I would be Scott's next service stop. I really appreciated that level of communication. Less than forty five minutes later, Scott arrived at my home. Scott was professional from the moment he arrived. After a brief greeting, he immediately went to work. He confirmed my suspicion that the expansion tank was the problem, returned to his truck for tools and a replacement tank, and had the new tank installed within about twenty minutes. The repair was completed quickly, smoothly, and—most importantly—professionally. This was not my first experience with S.W.A.T. Plumbing, and it certainly will not be my last should the need arise again. This team truly knows how to take care of their customers. Thank you for inviting me to participate in this survey. I appreciate the opportunity to share my feedback. If you have any follow up questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me.
