Trophy Club incorporated in 1985 and built out in phases through the 2010s. Phase-one homes from the late 1980s and 1990s are now approaching 30 to 40 years old — which puts them squarely in the range where supply lines, water heaters, main shutoffs, and sewer lateral access points are due for attention. S.W.A.T. Plumbing dispatches from Fort Worth and reaches most Trophy Club addresses in about 28 minutes.
The most important utility distinction in Trophy Club is one that surprises many contractors: Trophy Club operates through its own Municipal Utility District. The Trophy Club MUD — not Fort Worth, not Denton, not Tarrant or Denton County — owns and operates the water and wastewater treatment infrastructure that serves the city. Water chemistry in Trophy Club varies from the surrounding systems precisely because it is treated independently. Golf-course-adjacent lots receive reclaimed irrigation water for landscape use, and in some older phase-one builds, reclaimed and potable cross-connection risks exist at outdoor hose bibs and irrigation backflow assemblies. That distinction matters for diagnostic work — an outside contractor who assumes Trophy Club runs on standard Fort Worth supply may misread the water quality data.
Phase-one Trophy Club Country Club Estates (1985–1995) carries original copper supply lines, cast iron drain stacks in some cases, and — in a minority of early builds — polybutylene-era fittings mixed with copper. The Highlands and other 2000s-era phases shifted to CPVC and early PEX. Grapevine Lake proximity on the southwestern edge creates seasonal groundwater elevation swings that affect slab moisture and hydrostatic pressure on drain laterals. Custom homes throughout the city run high-end fixture loads: steam rooms, spa tubs, pot-fillers, and thermostatic shower systems that stress original supply sizing in phase-one builds not designed for that demand. All qualifying work is permitted through Town of Trophy Club Development Services — separate from both Denton and Tarrant County processes. S.W.A.T. Plumbing confirms the correct jurisdiction before work begins on any Trophy Club job.

Known Threats
Common plumbing issues
in Trophy Club.
Local soil, water chemistry, and housing stock create predictable failure patterns. Understanding what’s common here lets S.W.A.T. Plumbing arrive with the right equipment already loaded.
Common Issues — Trophy Club
- Trophy Club MUD operates water and wastewater independently — water chemistry differs from surrounding Fort Worth and Denton systems; outside contractors who miss this misread diagnostic data.
- Golf-course-adjacent properties receive reclaimed irrigation water — landscape backflow assembly failures and cross-connection risk at outdoor hose bibs are a recurring issue in older phase-one homes.
- Phase-one Trophy Club Country Club Estates homes (1985–1995) carry original copper supply lines with polybutylene-era fittings in some builds — selective failure patterns are active, not theoretical.
- Grapevine Lake proximity on the SW edge creates seasonal groundwater elevation swings — hydrostatic pressure on drain laterals and slab moisture events follow heavy rainfall.
- High-end fixture loads in golf-community custom homes — steam rooms, spa tubs, pot-fillers — stress original supply sizing in phase-one builds designed before those amenities were standard.

“My A/C was leaking because of a backup in the main drain pipe. The tech Tyler was beyond communicative, patient, and tenacious to fix this. He stayed until almost 6p troubleshooting and sticking with the plan of action that freed the issue. Great guy and great service. As a bonus, I requested the soonest available service and when there was a cancellation that pulled my appointment forward by one day. One earlier day with A/C in Mya in Texas. Win! I was provided them through my home warranty service. I will definitely request them again. Tyler was the man!”
Marcus Combsa month ago“Daniel was great. He was Friendly, helpful, and informative. He took time to explain everything and walk me through my options. The SWAT team was great at keeping me informed on service time and expectations. Will 100% recommend.”
Achelle Evansa month ago“Over the weekend, I needed to call a plumber when the expansion tank on my water heater began leaking. I was unsure what might happen if the situation worsened, so I contacted my home warranty service to request assistance. I had previously informed them that if I ever needed plumbing services again, I preferred to work exclusively with S.W.A.T. Plumbing. On Monday morning, I received a call from Christi at S.W.A.T. Plumbing. She explained that although the plumber was finishing another job, she could have someone out later that afternoon. She told me that Scott H. would be handling the call and would contact me when he was on his way. About five minutes after our call ended, Christi called back to let me know that I would be Scott's next service stop. I really appreciated that level of communication. Less than forty five minutes later, Scott arrived at my home. Scott was professional from the moment he arrived. After a brief greeting, he immediately went to work. He confirmed my suspicion that the expansion tank was the problem, returned to his truck for tools and a replacement tank, and had the new tank installed within about twenty minutes. The repair was completed quickly, smoothly, and—most importantly—professionally. This was not my first experience with S.W.A.T. Plumbing, and it certainly will not be my last should the need arise again. This team truly knows how to take care of their customers. Thank you for inviting me to participate in this survey. I appreciate the opportunity to share my feedback. If you have any follow up questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me.”
