S.W.A.T. Plumbing LLC is a licensed master-plumber-operated contractor (TX Master License #M-39596) headquartered at 2111 East FM1187 in Aledo, TX, serving Haltom City — the most compressed inner suburb in Tarrant County at 46,000 residents in 12.38 square miles, where US 377 restaurant density drives elevated grease trap and sewer demand — from its Fort Worth dispatch hub since 2013.

Haltom City contains 17,582 housing units in 12.38 square miles — the most compressed inner suburb in Tarrant County. Most of that housing was built between 1950 and 1980: ranches, duplexes, and small apartment complexes on tight lots along the Haltom Road corridor and the US 377 commercial strip. Original galvanized steel supply lines in unrenovated residences and cast-iron sewer mains under residential streets drive the plumbing call volume.

Cast-iron joints are prime targets for root intrusion. Roots follow moisture gradients into aging bell-and-spigot gaps, expand until the line is partially or fully blocked, and the first symptom is a slow-draining tub or toilet. By the time multiple fixtures back up simultaneously, roots have been growing for months. Hydro-jetting removes the mass; a camera confirms how much pipe wall remains.

Fort Worth wholesale water supply serves Haltom City — chloramine disinfection, moderate to high hardness through the north Tarrant distribution network. In homes where original galvanized supply has never been replaced, the interior bore may have closed to 30 to 40 percent of its original diameter. The US 377 corridor carries the heaviest commercial plumbing demand: restaurants and food processors generate grease trap overflows, floor drain backups, and backflow preventer failures at a rate above the residential average. S.W.A.T. Plumbing handles both residential and commercial work under Haltom City's own permit process — separate from Fort Worth, despite the shared water supply. The Fort Worth hub is 10 miles west, about 14 minutes out.

Known Threats

Common plumbing issues
in Haltom City.

Local soil, water chemistry, and housing stock create predictable failure patterns. Understanding whats common here lets S.W.A.T. Plumbing arrive with the right equipment already loaded.

Common Issues — Haltom City

  • Fort Worth wholesale supply with chloramine disinfection and moderate-to-high north Tarrant hardness accelerates galvanized steel corrosion in Haltom City's 1950s–70s housing — interior bore restriction is the result, not the cause.
  • Original cast-iron sewer mains under the residential grid are prime root-intrusion sites — bell-and-spigot joints in aging sections provide entry points that grow from slow-drain symptoms to full backups over months.
  • Birdville ISD-area rental housing near the US 377 corridor carries deferred-maintenance plumbing — water heaters past 12 years, corroded shutoff valves, and unaddressed slow drains create reliable after-hours call volume.
  • US 377 restaurant and food-processing density generates grease interceptor overflows and floor drain backups at a rate above residential average — regular commercial maintenance reduces emergency frequency.
  • High renter proportion in the apartment inventory means landlord-tenant emergency call cycles are common — dispatch patterns spike on weekends and evenings when tenant-reported failures reach the property management layer.

  • My A/C was leaking because of a backup in the main drain pipe. The tech Tyler was beyond communicative, patient, and tenacious to fix this. He stayed until almost 6p troubleshooting and sticking with the plan of action that freed the issue. Great guy and great service. As a bonus, I requested the soonest available service and when there was a cancellation that pulled my appointment forward by one day. One earlier day with A/C in Mya in Texas. Win! I was provided them through my home warranty service. I will definitely request them again. Tyler was the man!

  • Over the weekend, I needed to call a plumber when the expansion tank on my water heater began leaking. I was unsure what might happen if the situation worsened, so I contacted my home warranty service to request assistance. I had previously informed them that if I ever needed plumbing services again, I preferred to work exclusively with S.W.A.T. Plumbing. On Monday morning, I received a call from Christi at S.W.A.T. Plumbing. She explained that although the plumber was finishing another job, she could have someone out later that afternoon. She told me that Scott H. would be handling the call and would contact me when he was on his way. About five minutes after our call ended, Christi called back to let me know that I would be Scott's next service stop. I really appreciated that level of communication. Less than forty five minutes later, Scott arrived at my home. Scott was professional from the moment he arrived. After a brief greeting, he immediately went to work. He confirmed my suspicion that the expansion tank was the problem, returned to his truck for tools and a replacement tank, and had the new tank installed within about twenty minutes. The repair was completed quickly, smoothly, and—most importantly—professionally. This was not my first experience with S.W.A.T. Plumbing, and it certainly will not be my last should the need arise again. This team truly knows how to take care of their customers. Thank you for inviting me to participate in this survey. I appreciate the opportunity to share my feedback. If you have any follow up questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me.
