Plumbing LLC is a licensed master-plumber-operated contractor (TX Master License #M-39596) headquartered at 2111 East FM1187 in Aledo, TX, serving Hudson Oaks — where the 2022 switch from Lake Weatherford to a Fort Worth 36-inch transmission main triggered PRV failures and water hammer in Red Eagle and Diamond Oaks subdivisions — from its Aledo dispatch hub since 2013.

Hudson Oaks made a significant infrastructure change in 2022: the city switched its water source from Lake Weatherford to a Fort Worth 36-inch transmission main. That switch introduced a new pressure dynamic into supply lines that were sized and calibrated for the prior source. Pressure reducing valves on older 1990s and 2000s construction in Red Eagle, Diamond Oaks, and Enchanted Oaks were not recalibrated after the transition — and PRV failures and water hammer complaints increased in the months that followed. Hudson Oaks sits at 1,040 feet elevation, and the combination of high site elevation with an aggressive Fort Worth main feed can push static pressure above 80 PSI in homes without a properly set PRV. A pressure regulator valve running above spec accelerates fixture wear, stresses supply line joints, and shortens water heater life measurably.

Red Eagle, Diamond Oaks, Parker Oaks, Enchanted Oaks, and Red Oak Hills were predominantly built between the 1990s and 2010s on slab-on-grade foundations. That stock is now at the 20- to 30-year PEX and CPVC fatigue mark — the same window where slab leak detection calls begin to cluster in other DFW mid-ring suburbs. Parker County expansive clay soil shifts under those slabs during summer drought cycles, adding stress to supply lines already under elevated pressure from the Fort Worth main transition. S.W.A.T. Plumbing operates from Aledo, 14 minutes from the H-E-B corridor. Hudson Oaks has its own inspections department — permits for in-city work do not go to Parker County.

Known Threats

Common plumbing issues
in Hudson Oaks.

Local soil, water chemistry, and housing stock create predictable failure patterns. Understanding whats common here lets S.W.A.T. Plumbing arrive with the right equipment already loaded.

Common Issues — Hudson Oaks

  • 2022 water source transition from Lake Weatherford to Fort Worth 36-inch main introduced pressure fluctuations in supply not sized for the new feed — PRV failures and water hammer are documented post-transition issues.
  • High-elevation site at 1,040 feet combined with the Fort Worth main produces static supply pressure above 80 PSI in homes without a properly calibrated PRV — shortening fixture and appliance life across the board.
  • 1990s–2000s slab-on-grade in Red Eagle, Diamond Oaks, and Enchanted Oaks is at the 20–30 year PEX and CPVC fatigue mark — slab leak calls are increasing as that pipe stock ages.
  • Parker County expansive clay under Hudson Oaks slabs contracts during summer drought, adding stress to supply lines already under elevated pressure from the Fort Worth main.
  • I-20 commercial corridor grease and debris load on shared sewer infrastructure affects residential laterals near the Bankhead Highway interchange — periodic hydro-jetting prevents progressive buildup.

  • My A/C was leaking because of a backup in the main drain pipe. The tech Tyler was beyond communicative, patient, and tenacious to fix this. He stayed until almost 6p troubleshooting and sticking with the plan of action that freed the issue. Great guy and great service. As a bonus, I requested the soonest available service and when there was a cancellation that pulled my appointment forward by one day. One earlier day with A/C in Mya in Texas. Win! I was provided them through my home warranty service. I will definitely request them again. Tyler was the man!

  • Over the weekend, I needed to call a plumber when the expansion tank on my water heater began leaking. I was unsure what might happen if the situation worsened, so I contacted my home warranty service to request assistance. I had previously informed them that if I ever needed plumbing services again, I preferred to work exclusively with S.W.A.T. Plumbing. On Monday morning, I received a call from Christi at S.W.A.T. Plumbing. She explained that although the plumber was finishing another job, she could have someone out later that afternoon. She told me that Scott H. would be handling the call and would contact me when he was on his way. About five minutes after our call ended, Christi called back to let me know that I would be Scott's next service stop. I really appreciated that level of communication. Less than forty five minutes later, Scott arrived at my home. Scott was professional from the moment he arrived. After a brief greeting, he immediately went to work. He confirmed my suspicion that the expansion tank was the problem, returned to his truck for tools and a replacement tank, and had the new tank installed within about twenty minutes. The repair was completed quickly, smoothly, and—most importantly—professionally. This was not my first experience with S.W.A.T. Plumbing, and it certainly will not be my last should the need arise again. This team truly knows how to take care of their customers. Thank you for inviting me to participate in this survey. I appreciate the opportunity to share my feedback. If you have any follow up questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me.
