Sewer Line
Repairs

When the sewer line itself is the problem, cleaning won't fix it. S.W.A.T. Plumbing locates the failure, presents real repair options — spot, line, or replace — and executes the one that fits the pipe, the property, and the budget.

When You Need This

The longer you wait,
the worse it gets.

Sewer line repair is rarely a single fix — it's usually a system condition. Old clay joints leak. Cast iron rusts from the inside out. Orangeburg pipe (used in 1950s–1970s Texas builds) is essentially compressed tar paper and fails catastrophically. S.W.A.T. Plumbing camera-inspects to identify the failure mode, then matches the repair to the actual problem: spot repair for one bad section, trenchless lining for joint-rich failures, or full replacement when the pipe is past saving.

Warning Signs

  • Camera scope identified a belly, crack, offset, or root intrusion
  • Recurring sewer backups despite repeated cleaning
  • Sewage smell in the yard or near foundation
  • Soft, wet, or settling ground above the sewer line path
  • Soil washing into the cleanout (sign of pipe collapse)
  • Orangeburg pipe identified (1950s–1970s construction era)
  • Multiple fixtures backing up at once
  • Pre-purchase inspection flagged sewer condition

Mission Operations

How we execute
from call to close.

  1. 01.

    Scope

    Camera Confirms the Failure.

Every sewer repair starts with a camera. We document the failure mode (crack, belly, offset, root intrusion, collapse), the pipe material, the location, and the depth. The footage and the diagnostic report inform every option we present.

  2. 02.

    Plan

    Spot, Line, or Replace.

Spot repair: cut out and replace one failed section. Trenchless lining: install a cured-in-place liner inside the existing pipe — repairs joints, cracks, and minor offsets without trenching. Full replacement: dig and replace, or pipe-burst the old line. Each option is priced separately.

  3. 03.

    Permit + Execute

    Permitted. Code-Grade. Documented.

We pull the city permit, schedule any required utility locates, and execute the repair to current Texas code. Excavation, lining, or pipe-burst — the crew, material, and method match the chosen option. Trenches are restored, landscaping is preserved where possible.

  4. 04.

    Test + Inspect

    Camera. Sign-Off. Closure.

Post-repair camera confirms the new line is clean, properly graded, and joint-free. The city inspector signs off on the permit. You receive a written package with footage, photos, material spec, permit close-out, and warranty.

  • My A/C was leaking because of a backup in the main drain pipe. The tech Tyler was beyond communicative, patient, and tenacious to fix this. He stayed until almost 6p troubleshooting and sticking with the plan of action that freed the issue. Great guy and great service. As a bonus, I requested the soonest available service and when there was a cancellation that pulled my appointment forward by one day. One earlier day with A/C in Mya in Texas. Win! I was provided them through my home warranty service. I will definitely request them again. Tyler was the man!

  • Over the weekend, I needed to call a plumber when the expansion tank on my water heater began leaking. I was unsure what might happen if the situation worsened, so I contacted my home warranty service to request assistance. I had previously informed them that if I ever needed plumbing services again, I preferred to work exclusively with S.W.A.T. Plumbing. On Monday morning, I received a call from Christi at S.W.A.T. Plumbing. She explained that although the plumber was finishing another job, she could have someone out later that afternoon. She told me that Scott H. would be handling the call and would contact me when he was on his way. About five minutes after our call ended, Christi called back to let me know that I would be Scott's next service stop. I really appreciated that level of communication. Less than forty five minutes later, Scott arrived at my home. Scott was professional from the moment he arrived. After a brief greeting, he immediately went to work. He confirmed my suspicion that the expansion tank was the problem, returned to his truck for tools and a replacement tank, and had the new tank installed within about twenty minutes. The repair was completed quickly, smoothly, and—most importantly—professionally. This was not my first experience with S.W.A.T. Plumbing, and it certainly will not be my last should the need arise again. This team truly knows how to take care of their customers. Thank you for inviting me to participate in this survey. I appreciate the opportunity to share my feedback. If you have any follow up questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me.
